I just fired off a Bear and flower arrangement from the OSO family. This guy was always a tough inspector back when I was racing but he was SUPER fair and he always helped out and made suggestions to us to make the boat safer. It is sad to me to see the guy that cared so much about our safty get hurt in a accident like this. He is one tough MO FO so I am confident that he wil pull through this fine. Hang in there mike!!!!!!

NO no no no! jeez sorry to hear about this Mike. You know of all the people on OSO, Fever Mike is right up at the top of the list of "people to meet" Weve had some colourful discussions over the years in the never ending "29 Fever, single or twins?" debate. Ive also been guilty of starting threads in the Fountain section to specificly piss off Mike!! Recently I thought he was really pissed at me then I met up with him on the chat line, smoothed things out and we both had a good laugh over it. People have posted that Mike is a tough customer and I believe it. I am very sad to hear of this. Ive had more than my share of grave injuries myself, Time to dig in Mike, hang in there, get well, I know you'll be back.........Doug:( :( :) :)

On my way back to the hospital in a few minutes. I will give everybody an update later. Lisa came by my house at 6:00 a.m. this morning and she looks to be in "as good as can be expected" spirits. Thankfully, her sister from Pittsburg flew in on Thursday night and has been with her when the rest of us couldn't. Mikes mom and dad have also stayed by her side. The best news is that he is conscious and acknowledges the fact that Lisa is by his side, but he is by no means out of the woods at this point. Hang in there Mikey.

Hey Carter, you've always been a good friend brfore OSO even on the News Groups. My heart and thoughts are with you. I know what is like to be banged up to some extent, but you obviously have to look foward to postitive things for the future. If there is anything you or your family need please call!!

hoping for a safe recovery for a fellow rider

Just back from the hospital. Mike is still in intensive care and on a respirator. He opened his eyes and nodded his head when I went in to see him. The surgeon is giving his leg a 5% chance. He still has no pulse in his foot.

Audiofn-Mike has the bear in his room. Lisa thanks everybody for their thoughts and prayers.

Mike has plenty of support. Myself and my wife Lisa, Mike Alweiss, Steve Miklos, Adib Mastry, my mother, Mikes mom and dad, Lisa, her sister, her cousin, our friend Craig, and a few others were all in the waiting room. He has some serious support.

I believe the doctors are giving his leg a week before they decide what to do with it. Let's all keep hoping and praying that our mutual friend pulls through this thing.

My bike is going in the paper on Monday. I have lost interest.

Wow I just saw this thread and can't believe it. Stay focused and strong Mike and you will pull through this. Our prayers are out for you and your family. Life can really throw some crap at you but you need to fight on.
I quit riding 10yrs ago because of a incident with a blue hair in a Caddy.

We miss you in the Fountain Forum, get back in there!!!!

I too hate to read this kind of news about a fellow rider. Hang in there with all the prayers and support he has on this board, GOD has to nod in his favor.

Its usually someone elses fault,,, I wrecked mine last summer at 90 + MPH because of someone else, but went into a grassy ditch and faired much better with cuts and bruises, and a right shoulder problem I cant get rid of. I loved riding, but I think I am done.
