I am sorry to hear about your friend and fellow member!! I hope his recovery is speedy and complete. He will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I know how hard it is to see a good friend get hurt. We some times take friends for granted, so tell him for us that we are all wishing him well in all respects and hope to see him back posting on the board ASAP.. Dick |
Haven't heard anything today, and I hate calling.
Mike C., keep fighting. You are in a very elite, and small group of individuals; Those that will ride in Kent's boat and actually enjoy it. Kent |
Get well soon, we'll be praying for you.
|
Mike,
It's obvious from all the postings that you are in many peoples thoughts and prayers, but it never hurts to have a few more in your corner. Be assured that myself and the rest of the APBA / GM race support team are thinking and praying for you and your family during this time of crisis. This is a time that you need to focus all your energy on getting well and not worry about anything else. The rest of us are here for you and your family if needed. Tell Lisa to just ask or mention something to any of your offshore friends and we'll take care of the rest. Mark Skrzypek |
Get will soon,

His condition appears to be stabilizing. Lisa is going to call later on tonight and let us know how everything is going. I will keep everybody as up to date as I am able. Oh yeah, I had a blast on the Donzi last year at the St Cloud race. Mike told me you are dropping an HP500 in it. That should be quite the ride:eek:   Mike |
I just saw the post!!! DAMN Dude the OSO family are there for ya!! Lets us know when he can have visitors.......I can only imagine what he`s going through. I had a bike for 6 years, rode with a bike club and always feared the other guy. Thats why I sold the bike to buy a bigger, faster boat. If I screw up on the water theirs no one to blame but me,on the bike the other guy makes that choice for me. The thrill always outweighed the danger...GOD BLESS YA MIKE AND YOUR FAMILY

Mike,
I wish you a speedy recovery. My bike accident actually got me back into serious boating. Stopped on a highway due to construction I heard the pickup behind me (with a plow apparatice) not stopping. He pinned me against the car in front of me. Some one was smiling on me that day as I walked away with only a sore knee. The insurance money from the bike I used torwards the purchase my new boat a month later. I hope as much good can come out of this for you as possible and I hope that someone smiles on you so that you can enjoy all that life has to offer you. I am praying for you. Good luck. Chris and Diane |
Quick recovery Mike Hang in there.

Get well ASAP..
I had hoped to hear that Mike was doing better by now... I hope some good luck moves his way.
Best of luck Mike... We know you can pull it through. So what happened to that Old guy that caused mike his pain?? Has this guy owned up to it and apologized to Mike and his family? This guy has some explaining to do.. |
Get well soon.

Mike, Wish you a speedy recovery. I never met you but from what I see your an ACE! Had the same thing happen to me on the harley a few years back, the "senoir citizen" just took off without stopping.Managed no broken bones as you but you're a strong person. You will pull thru. Best of luck Mike.

Thank you for coming to let us know how Mike is doing, Lisa! We appreciate it very much!
We've been on pins and needles all day since we hadn't had an update on Mike for a while. Gosh its GREAT to hear he's made such an improvement in just the past 48 hours! Tell Mike we all can't wait til he gets back here! Be sure and take care of yourself too, Lisa. Don't forget to give yourself some rest. BK |
Re: Thank you so very much!!!
Originally posted by Fever Mike I received the beautiful flower arrangement and adorable teddy bear for Mike. I was able to put the teddy bear in his room, but unfortunately no live flowers are allowed in the ICU....so I am using them to lift my spirits as a reminder of how many wonderful friends and well-wishers he has out there. Many, many thanks! I am so glad to hear he is getting to that point. I know how much it meant when my family was with me through out my hospital experience. Family is SO important in a event like this. It makes you stronger and helps you recover faster. Soon enough Mike will be back posting as himself again :D:D Jon |
Lisa, Be strong and try to be as happy as possible !!!! Always remember it could have been worse and you are lucky it wasn't. We haven't sent any flowers over yet for that reason. ICU just wont let them in. But when he gets in to a private or semiprivate room we will be sending. Our hearts and prayers are with you everey night and day. If you need something, no matter what, give me a call at 727-560-3667. I'm less thn 5 min away from Home Port so don't hesitate to call, even tho i'll cut the beak off the fountain !!!!! God Bless and wishing for a speedy recovery !!!! Dave Warden

Thanks Lisa for the update. I know you have a lot on your mind, and it will be a difficult road. Mike has the attitude and perserverance to come through.
We are with you. I will be back soon to say hello again. Best regards, Kent |
AWESOME
Lisa:
Great news! It was awesome to see Fever Mike's name back on the board. Tell Mike we miss him - see ya soon - Brian Hollis |
I check this thread several times a day looking for updates on Mike. I'm glad to see that he is making progress towards recovery. There are many "Mike" moments that I will never forget, one being him going head to head with Jerry Gilbreath in Sarasota in 2000 after a race. Mike never backed down, he is a tough guy and I know he'll pull through this.
Mike, your in our thoughts, get better soon. |
Lisa,
Thanks so much for the update! Take good care... We're all pullin' for him! :D Marty |
what a relief!!!!
|
The Anderson Family was very upset to hear of Mike's accident. He is a class person and has been a good friend to our family.
Mike we are all praying for you! |
