Second you need to research this alot more before you make such statements. Riding in a couple of them would be a start. There is no comparison, the rides are completely different. and that is just the tip of the iceburg. There is a long history af each and yes some common ground as one would expect. But they are completely different animals with there on history and traits.

This guy must be related to Magnum mark/El Indio. You know Art some of us believed you worked for Skater and had a brain until that last post of yours, it's obviuos now that you couldn't have worked there for 12 years seeing as youre only 7 years old.

I'm not sure why I'm even replying to this BS, guess I'm just a post whore who believes in his product. So here goes.
Post #171- MTI's first boat was I believe the Tommy Bahama boat 44', fixed shaft rudder boat with a 60" tunnel and a 10'6" beam. I don't see any similarities with a 36 skater there.
Post # 173- So you worked (so you say) on a few OLD skaters. SO WHAT. You need to ride in both brands before you can make a comparison and make the kind of statement you made.
Post #175- Yes Randy had some help, most successful people have had some help somewhere along the way.He also worked his AS_ off and took some very big gambles to get where he is.Most of his help came from the victory race team which helped Peter alot also, but you should know that since you are so sharp.
As for picking one, I did, I own an MTI and will own more, What did you BUY?
I just want to state that I do have friends who have Skaters, they are great boats and I would never bash them. I may even buy one someday, but for now I prefer MTI. Randy is a friend, a good person and great boat builder and I don't care to see people make such ridiculous statements about him or his boats.
Sorry,I will get off the soap box now.

I love this forum and enjoy reading many of the old threads along with the new.
I've heard rumors of a new large cat coming out of the Midwest for quite some time.
The original question posted was basically, "Who builds the highest quality cat?"
It's been over 18 months since your above post and was just wondering!
What do you have? Details?
Thanks.
