Default Shotgun Muffler Tips???

I'm thinking about putting either the Shotgun Muffler Tips on our Fountain or at least something like Shotgun's.

Anyone know where the best deal on them is??

Have any different muffler tips or idea's?? I thought I would stay with a Shotgun like style, since they are automatic, or open on their own.... Anyone have any pro's or con's???????

Brad, I've put Shotguns on the Pantera. There is a significant difference in how loud it is especially at idle and all through the rpm range. Used to have to yell while talking at idle. Now you can carry on a conversation without much effort. I think I paid about $400-$420 for mine locally.

I am running a pair on my 468, 435 hp motor as well. I have talked to Drew (at Drew Marine, who makes the Shotguns) about them several times. He says they will work on dry exhaust, though you will see less db loss than a wet system. I ordered them direct from Drew (back of Hotboat Magazine) and paid the same thing Griff did.

And yes, they take the "bark" out of your exhaust, especially at idle.

The bad thing is you are right-- I took a nap Worked till 3am then in court from 830-noon and had to go back to work at 430.

Yep, power is a 525SC and they did help quite a bit. Got them from Midwest Performance Boats here in Bellevue NE.

Was there any affect on performance after installing the shotguns? The reason I ask is that I am looking for some mufflers as well. I have heard good things about the Teague's but am definitely open to other options.
