Default Best excuse to get out of a wedding

My wife comes from a very large family. I'm getting sick and tied of going to 2-4 weddings a summer. Summer is just too short. I need some good excuses!!!

easy, tell them piss off, that you are going to Island Fest and that is way more important than any wedding, tell the wife the same thing

or you can tell them that you were kidnaped by 20 no wait better make that 50 space ailiens and they brainwashed you into going to Island Fest

State the facts. Over 50% of marriages end in divorce, so tell them that you will attend their next wedding(s)

I thought you wanted to get out of your own wedding!

How's Akron? Last time I was there was 1972 for the Soap Box Derby - the year of the magic magnet.

Traveling for business is always a great excuse. Everyone understand the need to work over going to a stupid wedding.

I tell my wife, relatives, friends, and, co-workers that I only attend weddings on Wednesdays in February. The only exception .....weddings that you can get to by boat! Boating seasons here in Western NY are too dam short. If they don't like it , tough! My wife has gone to one wedding without me but usually she agrees and would rather be in the boat.

Go this time and hit up on her younger cousins. I doubt that she will make you go to another one.

I have the same problem this weekend. I am sorry that most people are loosers, have no life in the summer, and ruin our few weekends in the summer. Jus t because they have no life is no reason for me to waste my time. I was married in March for the simple reason that I did not want to ruin a summer weekend, not even my own.
