Looking back ... when our cat had an "encounter" with a skunk, I might have considered that method except I would have put several quarts of tomato juice in the toilet. Cleaning him in the bathtub was a scary experience. By the time I got done it looked like my arms had tangled with a barbed wire fence.

I hate cats and threw one in my pool, it's like trying to get a sticky bugger off your finger to get them in water. You might want to wear a pair of welding gloves.
