Default This is rediculious

Like I stated before ,I understand Dominic wants his boat, but as anyone knows when you deal with a small custom boat builder they are not always on time! If this was going to be such an issue then you should purchase a mass produced piece of junk that everyone else owns, and leave it at that. Like I say and say again you will all be happy with the boat when you get it and it will be worth the wait!!!!!!!

I would rather be boating around on a mass produced piece of junk than sitting bored on a custom built dock.

Worth losing a whole season over. Maybe if they would have laid there cards on the table form the beginning he would have choose a different brand or at least kept his boat and his money until completion. Easy to talk when its not your bread on the table. 6 payment on a boat thats not even completed, awful. Not to mention, since the Chuck doesn't live in Florida or California, his boating season will be long over by the time he gets the boat, and then its making payments on a boat for a whole year without driving. Thats just wrong.

Hey Guys,

First of all I was not able to reply to this post yesterday because it was my birthday and we had a family get together.

I am not one to run away from a situation or hide behind a screen name.By the same token I am not perfect, and have never claimed to be !!
I believe people before forming an opinion should have the facts straight, and not critisize a boat company that has been in business for 30 years building boats with the same original owners with no partners or investors.I do not know how many boat companys can match that.We have delivered hundreds of boats all around the world.

Anyway getting to this subject at hand.First of all the customer that is being talked about is a a customer that we have had allot of respect for since this is his second 28' Pantera in 2 1/2 years.

Facts :

On April 2003 ( 5 months ago ) customer purchased a new 2003 28' from me.

I agreed to take his 1999 28' Pantera from him on trade which I had sold him in Nov. 2001 with a new trailer for $ 52,000. Now after a year and a half later gave him $ 57,000 trade in with no trailer since I had a customer ready to purchase this 1999 28' Pantera.

We picked up his 1999 28' (approximately end of April).Since he did not produce a title for his boat until May 28 we lost our customer and $ 7,000 by the time I ended up selling the boat.I did not cry on nobody's shoulder and sucked it up like a big boy.

He was well aware that the sale of this 1999 28' would determine the construction of the new boat on order.

On June 28 my customer gave me the OK with the custom graphics he had finally decided on.So the May 15 delivery date is kind of rediculous.I have proof to show but do not like to air our business in public.

Since day one Dominck calls Pantera an average of 3-5 times a day including Saturdays and night time. He has personally called me on my cell after working hours to talk about his boat and has told me that he is a "pain in the butt" to deal with sometimes. I personally feel he is a great guy just anxious to go boating.

I sold Dominck the new 28' at a great price and he told me he would get his Friend to purchase a new 28' so I could recupperate on the price I had given him.His friend is well aware on completion time frame on his 28' since I spoke to him last week.

Bottom line : Dominick will get a great custom boat from us with Lifetime Warranty that he will enjoy for many years.

I understand it has been 5 months but my terrible boating accident in July through off my abilty to work off for a few weeks. Also he placed his order in April which is our busiest time of the year.We have been swamped with work this Summer.

Dominick we will get you delivered as quickly as possible.
I will email you directly later today.

Now for Wild Things Ron Sellers 2004 28' on order.

Ron purchased his 28' from me in June ( approximately 12 weeks ).I understand Ron you told me you had a short boating season and I would do all I can to have it completed for you A.S.A.P. that much is true.

What is not true: is that I did not request full payment on your boat like you made it sound on your post.

It was you that wanted to register the boat In Ohio before July 1st to save approximately $ 1,000 dollars in taxes. So you paid me the balance on the boat and I sent you next day air the MSO - title to your boat.

The bottom line is that your boat is almost completed and will be calling you shortly to deliver your 28' to you.
Anyway I feel you are a great person and I am very grateful for all your kind words in the past.

We are currently working on improving the delivery time frame ,and maintaining the same quality without having to incease the price to much on our line of custom made Hi- Performance boats.

I got to get back to work now out back on the shop floor.

I hope I have made myself clear on this matter.

Regards,

JO - Pantera Boats
