What year did Fountain build 500 boats ? This one. In 2002 he built 231, in 2003 388 still a long way from 500. That info is from the Fountain web site. I am not saying Fountain boats are junk, but the are not the fastest or best boats on the water anymore and they could be.

Fiscal year is how they do it so 388 is it. The apples to apples thing is crap, then Fountain should just race other mass produced boats and OL and Nor-tech can race each other for the fastest custom boat.
It sounds like his hands are tied as to how much he can do from what some have said here. So unless merc build's a 1400hp motor or he bites the hand that feed's him and gets motors elsewhere we might never know.

Now from a two Fountain owner. I have a 95 29' with twins and a 2001 32' and the 95 year boat is a LOT nicer than the 2001. Fit and finish especially, quality of the unholstery is much better on the 95. I am satisfied with both boats but I can see a difference in quality from 95 till 2001.

If you like OL so much.....go buy one and stop dissen other manufacturers and their boats.I am very sure Fountain will get this record back. And I hope OL responds

That disclosure was required due to the fact that Fountain was and is a publicly traded company. Formula is not
So......no public discloser required
But the point is.....it does not change a thing. They are both great companies with great futures. And denigrating Fountain due to a relationship with Mercury, Brunswick, or any other corporation as silly as this thread
But what do I know, I sold an awesome AT to buy a Formula cruiser
