Unhappy Wellcraft used to...

I had a 1990 Wellcraft Nova 2. It was a true 26 footer and could take on the nasty stuff well....I rode in a 30' Scarab from the 70's and it was solid....now granted Wellcraft went through some quality problems from time to time...but how can a racing Icon ike the Scarab which did so well on the circuits against cigs and apacahe's just vanish...what's your take?

It's all about $$$$$ Fishing was the way to go. I guess they would rather sell 20 $15,000 fishing boats then 1 scarab. ask their bean counters I guess.

My guess is that it came down to $$. Wellcraft is probably making more sales and $$ with their runabouts and cruisers. If Wellcraft was making huge profits from the Scarab line why would they stop making them?
