Four new pieces to the puzzle came in today!
:D :D

Quest for Speed 01-22-2004 05:09 PM

That is my boat. It only has 500EFI's but they do sound bigger for some reason. It tops out right now at about 81 but I can not seem to get it propped correctly, still have about 350 rpm left before the rev limiters.
Sorry you had to make such a haisty retreat due to the harbor patrol. By the way, you must have shot gunned a few bears in college by the way you made your beer dissapear before you ran off to save your boat from being towed:drool: .

Took her out on Sunday to Catalina Island for lunch and had a handheld GPS with me. THe MAX speed recorded was 56mph. I was surprised. Didn't really try trimming the drives or anything, plus the center engine needs the top end done (low compression on most cylinders, and one dead one). Didn't matter......we had a great day! :D :D :D

With one engine as marginal has that you'll hit in the low 60's when your done fixing the gremlins. Very respectable for a #20k boat.
I better not tell my wife that, she's still looking at pictures of Superhawks!

Update.....................three engines being rebuilt by Dan at Archer Marine. One had water in it on Mother's Day (oh my gosh........you spend so much money!!! yea mom.....that's why you raised me so well!!! :D ) so I figured all were a bit tired (1994 motors).

New update for my "winter project boat".........7-years later!!! :) Where has the time gone!!

The three rebuilt engines in 2005 had issues over the years. They were never quite right. Last year (2010) we took all three motors out AGAIN to completely go through them......with some oversight this time. Drives were taken off and gone through too. New bottom and drive paint. New stainless steel anchor. Doing some minor re-rigging in the engine area shortly before we install the new engines. I think I'm gonna update the dash panels, new radar/gps system and then.......probably sell. We'd like to move on to another performance cruiser in the 50-60' range and that just isn't going to happen if we still have this boat. :(

More pics in a few weeks.

PhantomChaos 04-04-2011 12:41 PM

There is light at the end of the tunnel.....but it might be coming from a hole in the bottom of my bank account. LOL!!!!:drink:

Three complete 502MAG rebuilds get lifted in this Wednesday.
Measure for new IMCO custom pipes for port and starboard motors.
Order new mufflers (dumping the switchable exhaust)
All dash panels are out to relaminate new wood
New teak installed on swim step
Bilge all new paint (red) and new stainless motor mount hardware
New Lavorsi gauges with "Sunseeker"
New dash switches
New Riche SS5000W compass
New LED "beverage holders"
New LED digital TV
New Jensen DVDB01 DVD player
New Standard Horizon GX2150 VHF with AIS+
New Standard Horizon CMP30 RAM3 extra handset (cabin)
New dual trumpet Air Horn
New Jensen MSR2107 Stereo with full iPod controls
New Jensen MWR100 wired remotes (two)
New Sirius SCC1 tuner and antenna
New Isotta Carlotta steering wheel (black)
New Norcold 3.5CF fridge
New waterproof marine survielance camera (two)
New Garmin GPSMAP 5208 touchscreen chartplotter
New Garmin Radar Scanner 24" 4kW

Then.....

Final (for now) gel and paint are being done. New engine insulation and noise foam. Then comes the dash and new in-n-out electronics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Audiofn 05-22-2011 11:14 PM
