Probably not Tom. :( I'm "scheduled" to come down Friday because it might be back in the water at my dock (less exhaust, dash and everything else.......)

Lofty 05-24-2011 11:11 PM

You do realize you're mental? This things looking rather nice, maybe I'll bring mine down for the SCOPE run this year.

Catmando 05-25-2011 12:56 AM

We'd like to move on to another performance cruiser in the 50-60' range...

Like what?

There is a short list:

Atlantis 55
Sunseeker Predator 55-ish
Marquis 500SC

I think the main requirement is two main cabins and a third for two kids (bunk beds are fine). We are aways from actually doing this though. :drink:

Looking good Nort, that's gonna' be one puss little ride!

Yeah, I've done the beat North many.... many times and it's almost always a long rough ride. It's a fun trip I just stay away from the Morrow Bay harbor entrance when it's blowing.

New cockpit carpet, radar, speakers, led lights and led navigation lights.

For seven years the sub-woofers have not worked but never got around to seeing what was wrong with them. Last weekend, I put the new speakers in, checked the wiring to the amps, amps were working, checked the sub-volume controls at the dash, they worked.....went to the head unit.....figured maybe they wired it to run from the "rear". Grabbed the manal to see how to change the rear/front fader control......wasn't that. Noiticed a topic called "subwoofer on/off control" in the table of contents. I had a sinking feeling when turning to that page. Read the 2 sentence paragraph......"press the CD eject button and hold for 3 seconds to toggle the subwoofers on/off". WTF? For seven years all I had to do was that? LOL BOOM BOOM BOOM :drink::drink::drink::drink::drink:

A definite upgrade!

Audiofn 06-16-2011 08:44 PM

Nort your speaker situation sounds like my brothers dish washer one. He ripped the entire thing apart trying to figure out why his dish washer was not working. There was a switch on the wall over it..... :D

I knew your picture on Facebook was a photo shop. No name any more! That puts all these photo's into question!

Scott B 06-17-2011 04:39 AM

What speakers you using with those subs??

Getting closer......new custom IMCO exhaust risers are in. Started 2 or the 3 motors. Port motor has an electrical problem on the boat.....bad ground maybe. Dash is 50% done. Check fit the new video install, need to finish that and install.

No triple-whipple? :D

Too much of everything!

Too much money
Too much gas
Too much for new drives

Rarely have I put the throttles down all the way anyway. The boat is most fun at 40-45mph so no need to whipple. It would be cool and even more rare of a boat. :drink: Do you have three to donate?

As you can see in that engine bay pic we added new custom risers that IMCO made for me to the port and starboard engines. Water jacketed till right before connecting to the new Gibson bullet mufflers. Virtually no chance of reversion on those motors now. They rise 16 inches and go back down. The stock Mercury risers with spacers always seemed to have issues due to water coming from the outside and just from the crappy design by Mercury. The exhaust is sitting only 3-4 inches above the waterline, less than that on the port motor port exhaust (see post 161). We also added 10" of internal pipe to the center engine risers so it mixes water and exhaust further down and not right where you see the connection there.

Congratulations Mister "Nort", you have a gorgeous boat and the extra work on the boat came out great. I like to watch the boat pictures and videos here, thank you all posters for pictures of boats and refits.

(Does anybody know what "masher" meant by "Yours"? Did he mean perhaps tatoos? Nort seems to have a tatoo at his left arm if it isnt a haematome. Does anybody know whether masher and his buddy have perhaps tatoos of boats and duckies at their body because at least a tatoo is what they can afford? Will I ever know? All these questions in my life and no answers. Man that sucks.)
