I love my reef tank. I had a fresh water tank for years and one day decided to go salt. I'm glad I did, yes it is a little more expensive on start up but as everyone else has said you cant get the color from fresh like the salt water tanks. My tank has been going for 2 years now any I have had no major problems. Once you get the tank going there is very little work. I spend 1 hour on the weekend doing cleaning and maintence.
This is a shot of my tank after a 3 week vacation and the fish only being fed.
