Troutly,
Found the site, didn't find the pics or description of the inline config. Could you post the link?

Last time I checked....Cats were beating vees in offshore racing conditions too............ both here and in Europe.....

While it is refreshing that after 20+ years of cats proving their speed advantage.....the average OSO'r is finally acknowledging it..... I still must repeat................. what is the point? Aside from wishful thinking that somehow Reggie or the Fiore's will suddenly defy all logic and physics and find the "secret" that can return the vees to their former .....um.... "prominence" (?) .....
or to convince the average Sonic owner that through creative osmosis he owns a relative of a 160 mph hull because both his boat and Reggie's started from the drawing board of Jean Claude Simon..... there is no destination that I can see.

Maybe it is time to give this "chase" the decent burial it deserves.....before somebody gets hurt.

So T2x, let me get this straight. There is no reason what so ever for any V-hull or stepped V by any maker to try to go any faster than where they are at now just because cat's are faster? Should they quit racing V's and only race cats?

I am staying out of the Cat Vs. V debate this time. I will sit back and watch.

Me Too...Isn't that a different thread anyway?

T2X, I know that this may be very hard for you to comprehend, but some people would rather have a V than a cat..regardless of how fast they can go.

I like big cats 40 feet and over but don't want to have to pull a permit every time I tow it some place. I would love to be able to have more than one high dollar boat so one could be a cat, but a cat would be the #2 boat in my fleet and I can only afford a one boat fleet.

But if we ever stop improving we might as well stop living.
