At 11:10 pm just south of Sarasota in Venice, it's blowing a solid 22/24 knots, the "GIANT" flag at the Ford dealership in Nokomis is out straight, wind straight out of the west, and the seas from what I can see with my 2 million power look to be at least 6 and maybe 7/8. They are really crashing up on the beach. Gonna be a rough ride I think. I hear the ugly sound of "ka-ching" coming from the cash registers.

I was walking around the docks at the Hyatt tonight and saw one of the boats banging the dock. Got some help to get it retied but the wind was gusty even in the marina. Forecast for Saturday is worse.
