An average day of boating for us is $20-$40 in gas. Prices won't affect my boating no more gas than I use in a day.

I am gonna complain about prices though. Won't be happy until they get down where they need to be. Ridiculous IMO.

Diesel is the way to go. My 37 AT would get 1 to 1.25 MPG while cruising. It had 500 EFI's. New boat (maybe) gets the same, weighs twice as much has two state rooms, two heads, 6'7" headroom and a garage for a waverunner:D

Fuel prices will not keep me off the water:) :)

Gas prices dont play much of a role, when summer is three months long.Winters are long here in Vermont. Were out as much as possible, once the water warms up.........

CHEAP FUN.....

It's true. Top speed is 40 mph.

My fiend just picked up a gorgeous 43' Nortech with 875 K.E.s last week. This boat is an ocean liner, but it is truly one hell of a boat. Heloves the boat s much, he can't stop driving it. He said he filled it up on Tuesday. That's 300 gallons folks..... and he drove it as much as he could and had to fill it up on again on Friday. He drove it all day Saturday and Sunday (up and down the lake and down and up the lake over and over) and said he will probably have to fill it up on Monday. Holy Sh*t Batman!

When you can afford a 43' Nortech I don't think ANY gas price would bother you :D

I doubt it''ll have any effect on actual boating time. I'll just be using more 4 letter words as I'm at the pump filling it.

Not to mention, a couple of my regular passengers always kick in nicely for fuel. Its never required, but always appreciated.

Same here, we only get a few months of boating so the prices won't stop me from going out every chance i get plus everyone usually pitches in:)

Would a boycott against Exxon/Mobil help at all? I am a stockholder but these prices are getting crazy!!! Plus I don't plan on selling that stock anytime soon anyway.

There must be something we can do to stop these oil companies from gouging us like this!

PS I usually buy my gas at the local no-name gas stations anyway.
