What Do You Pay For your boat Insurance ?
#151
$8800 for a 2005 47 Lightning. Never had a car or boat insurance claim in my life. It is great time to live in Florida.

Many people don't realize that a lot of companies won't write policies in Florida. The few that do are charging up the butt.
I had a policy with ACE through Total Dollar (Sy) in Ohio $3,200 with 6 month layup. Moved to FL. ACE won't even write in FL, best quote from Total Dollar $7,900 no layup.

I have a joint policy that insures my 2000 38 Fountain Fever and a 1999 28 foot lakewood Pontoon. The total price was for both boats was $1800 a year. When I told them I changed power to Ilmor 625's from Merc 525's they raised it to $2250. I boat on Cumberland and keep it there all year which means a long winter layup. It's thru AllState.
