Thumbs up box anchors

i got one this year after the special offer was over, somehow i misplaced my old anchor and 200 feet of line over the winter???? i still do not know how that is possible.

i love the box anchor though, stores under the seat easy, have not had to set it more that once each time that i have used it. we have a sand and rock or silty mud bottom that i never would never be able to hook on the first throw. i have spent up to 30 min trying to get a good hook. not anymore though, one throw and i am done, used to hate getting the anchor out now its not so bad.

two thumbs way up

wondering how others results were???

I've heard they work well. I also want to get a sand spike from the same manufacturer.

I love mine; been using it for a couple years, on a couple boats. There have been threads on this in the past. While the having to lock it place is an extra step, the omission of hauling a chain around, and the ability to tuck the entire anchor and line in a duffle bag under the back seat, FAR outweighs any cons of the Box Anchor.

It was the best accessory purchase I ever made for my boat!! It makes the Fortress anchor totally obsolete.
