Default P&D 24' Classic, what comparable

Hello offshore enthusiasts: I am a marine surveyor who has been asked to find a value on a 1979 P&D 24' Offshore type 6 seater"cigarette" powerboat. Propulsion is via stern drive, although I am not advised as to what make and model. Presume it is to a Bravo 1. The manufacturer went out of business some time ago and I cannot find any listings whatsoever. I am not familiar with this particular builder so I do not know what quality of the layup, laminate schedule, etc. Essentially, I would appreciate input on what manufacturer this vessel would be comparable to. If anyone has a photo of this model, it would be appreciated.

P&D stands for Peter and David
The hull (different deck) is the same as a 24' Pantara....
Unless the boat was re-powered it would NOT have a Bravo 1 on it..... It could either be a pre-Alpha or a TRS drive....

if you are looking for same year/type boats to compare this P&D to i would look at 24 Excalibers and Panteras. and like speedgirl said it probably does not hav a Brovo on it. could actually have anything TRS, MR/gen1 Alpha, Volvo 280 or even a Sternpower.

Thanks much speedgirl. I am advised the transom was plugged and punched. A bravo 1 was installed. Am also advised pantera bought the molds. You know your stuff. Thanks again.

Thanks

The transom has been plugged and punched (filled and a hole for a B1 cut into it). Really appreciate the response from both you and speed girl.

Look for Excalibur, twister, jaws, Pantera, older Sunsations, All pretty much the same hulls, you need to take build quality into account. A Pantera in good shape at that age would probably bring 12-15k
