I'm a Chevy guy, but the new Mustang is a very cool looking car!!! I think you guys are being a little to harsh!!
Convertible or fastback, its a car that most of us could afford to drive around.....
If we didn't need a kid carrier and a truck to pull the boat, I'd buy one to have a little fun in!! And it would probably be the Retro-Green color that most of you don't seem to like......

brings back sweet memories of High School in the late '70s and muscle cars....
I had a '69 Mach 1 back then, took out the Windsor, dropped in 289 HiPo with 12 to 1 and 4 speed from '67 GT 350.....what a blast........too bad the 350 was rear ended by a tractor -trailer rig!!!!

I'm driving an '05 Mustang rental car this week (had to pull some strings to get it). I haven't driven a car in a long time that got this much attention - not since driving the pre-production Firebirds when I worked for GM Engineering. While going down the freeway this week, sometimes it was hard to change lanes, because people were pulling along side trying to get a look.
There are a few new car glitches, but overall the car drives incredibly well, especially considering how inexpensive this car is. They did a great job.
