I've been in Michigan my whole life, don't be afraid aside from Detroit,Michigan is pretty kick ass.So what if you have to drive a little to get to water, there are some great places around to live, you can boat in the summer, snowmobile or ski in the winter, good football teams to watch in the fall (except the Lions).Hey your gonna have ****ty weather from time to time anywhere,if you don't like it move it just makes more room for me!

BURNSMAZZ, nice house! I poked around a little around Holland, Muskegon & Grand Rapids while on the internet (my new high-speed cable internet access is awesome ) last night. Seems like it is reasonable out there. Like ya'll said, what about finding a job next?

Do I see a Penguin swimming next to the boat

If you end up in the Detroit/Toledo area we have a great Offshore club that has about 5 organized trips and 3 Poker runs a year. Every weekend something is going on. Not that any area is the "best" or "better" I just happen to like the Lake Erie Island area and hope that I will someday do the summer here and the winter in Florida like X39 was saying!

Muskegon.....

They get 4 feet of snow at one time and have 4 good boating days per year. And oh...I work 12 months a year. Instead of a 5 month a year job in Michigan...I'll take a 5 month a year job in Florida.

Lake Michigan is nice.......in your 47 Apache. (Please don't respond to the Apache part).

Am I posting on SMO (SnowMobile Only)?

Why not go to Chicago (if you insist on cold, snow, wind, clouds, etc.) and boat over to the Grand Haven area in the summer (4 day summer).

Chicago....Detroit.....Denise Richards.....Oprah

This is the Marina I dock at check out the background!
15 minutes to Kelly's
25 minutes to PIB
45 Minutes to West end Toledo/Moroe/Detroit
45 minutes to Cleveland

These times are estimates at around 55 to 60 MPH

Remember, it's the wife, not me insisting on enduring North Pole weather conditions to be near family, not me! If I had it my way, I'd be trying to hook up w/Blaster down in Fla!
