Geography plays quite a part here also. Last year the Xs were soft. This year they are very hard to get. It seems everyone wants one now. They are holding their price well here in Colorado.

i just looked at some Manheim Auction Reports nationwide...and 01 limited 4x4 diesel w/ 50-55k are selling wholsale for $24-$26K...and XLT's are selling for $22-$23K...so as a dealer thats what i would have to pay to buy a completely recondition'd vehicle.

if its a limited there on the money...if its an XLT there over allowing...add $2-$2500 to the above figures for average retail figures. not to mention that 2005 is the last year for the Excursion. Ford is discontinuing it to alot the drivetrain's to the super duty trucks

Thanks for all the info guys ! I am shocked ..... I was looking a few months ago for a used late model excursion to build a monster truck out of . I gave up on the idea because On Ebay ,I had a hard time getting a nice one for under $30k
