Torching sounds very exciting, but with my luck the boat might go up in flames-can't do that, the vessel is for sale.

The socket works too if you get lucky and get one to fit the lock right.. McGard's are always a strange size.. We use this all the time to remove locks...... The teeth bite in as it turns where a socket wont...

29 bucks is cheap enough, who makes the kit??

That's what I do.
It isn't pretty, but I don't quit until they're off.
The lock is no good anyway...

air chisel. You don't have to cut / split the nut. Just cut a groove so the chisel has something to bite on and then turn the air chisel to drive the lock in the "loose" direction. 30 seconds, no purchase required.

I had the same problem, used a small pipe wrench worked great

Lubejob42, thanks for the offer, I also now haved a set of my own
Now I can take the boat out...ya hoooo...gotta wait for the sunrise...just 6 more hours :-).
