I work on cars for a living. I have had to do this countless times. I always knock them off with an air chisel. Just bury the air chisel into the lug at a counteclockwise angle. It will come right off. Wear eye protection, pieces may fly off.
Give a thief 20 and he will take all of them off while you sit in the house and drink beer.
