Kinda like lobster? Too big - too tough, too small - not ripe yet, 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 lbs. - Juuuuuuust right!

I've "heard" those shorts from the Keys are pretty tender too.

Anyone ever have gator before? I had some at bike week a few years back, a vendor from LA was up and was deep frying it, it was bit "gamy" but all-in-all, not too bad.
go to marinate it overnight... dont deep fry it season and bake or broil it will tender n yummy...

Pretty funny theread. I just got back form Bike Night up at Fuddruckers... It was getting nippy, had to come home early.. Damn thermometer says it's down to 72.. I'm turnin on the heat!!
