I was just watching them last night...
Sounds great with the surround sound and the volume cranked up!

Actually, anything over 100mph would be a start.
Not a slam on OL or anything, I just haven't seen it. I am hoping someone will post a video of an OL running FAST. . . . I have seen the Fountain boat running FAST - pretty impressive.
i have seen rusty rahms 51' OL run 115 in a standing mile at LOTO ... have had him pass me when i was running over 100... no video though.... and that is a 51 w/ full cabin and leather interior, flat screens and all the goods....

i have seen russels boat(s) run well north of 100, no video either....

i think there is a scope clip somewhere of "lets rock" being first to a card stop.. by a couple of minutes...

Speaking of high-speed Poker Run boats . . . I would LOVE to see the Fountain 42 "race hull" in a Poker Run configuration.
By "race hull", I mean like the 'fastest V-hull' configuration. Kinda like Firewater, or ZNETIX, or Rio Roses, but with an open cockpit, as opposed to the canopy configuration.

The new 42 PR just isn't quite the same look.

You would have to check with Billy Frenz on that.
If I knew how to load a clip onto my PC I would upload it.
Unfortunately I am still learning all this media stuff....

A top fuel motor won't live long enough to push a kilo boat.
No way to keep it cool long enough. It'll melt hard parts.

I suppose you could back it down to 3,500 horses, and start it on low nitro and as you need more, use a second set of injectors to feed a more concentrated dose. But remember, a 6,500 horse nitro motor melts the plugs every run. Pistons are flexing like jello, and valve faces are glowing like a light bulb - and this happens after 4 seconds. Turn down the wick a bit so that the top end parts will make it for 30 seconds, and now you'll have block temperatures that will puddle into the hull.

I'm all for big power, and an alcohol motor is a great idea. But a nitro motor in a kilo boat? It'd take some serious re engineering.
