Is it painted white or did it come that way from Garmin??
That is similar to the portable antennas for aviation. They have suckers on the back and stick to the windshield.

Interested in the Garmin 2006C. Spoke to Garmin directly regarding the antenna situation. The current one I have pictured below is not compatable with the 2006. Garmin claims the trunk part of the mushroom antenna can be removed and mounted on the hull flush.

Anyone have a mushroom that would check and see if the stump is really removable? Doesn't look like it from the pictures.

Thanks,

Neil

Neil i had my old shroom antenna mounted with about 1" of the stump. I was told it can be removed with no issues

Heres a couple, but look by the shifter and you can see about a 1/2 inch space. Worked great. Need to find a new location for the TG

I'd really like to put the display where the compass is. Have to buy a different dash panel for that. Anyone have a recommendation?

Neil,
mount it underneath like havasu cigs pic. if you drop the circut panel with the switches, you can mount it under there, and shoot through the deck, on the drivers side or go over to the passenger side too.
