Ok..Fountain has a fast RACE boat. But as far as a production boat, Hustler wins. I'd been on a Hustler before I'd ever get in a Fountain out on the ocean. But I like the ocean rough stuff, so I'd take an Outerlimits or Apache. Come to think of it, wasn't the 37 Outerlimits made from a 32 Hustler?

I know both boats very very well! Had a 32 Hustler, now have a 37 Outerlimts. It's nice to be able to sip Martinis going up the Jersey Shore over 80 MPH.

Preference and $ is always the factor. The area we boat, is usually rough. The bigger and heavier the boat, the more boating you do.

Wanted some facts

2000 fountain with twin 500efi, bravo drives

2000 Hustler slingshot with the same power and drives.

Which rides better, faster. Anything else that should be considered?

38' fountain lightning and 388 hustler slingshot
which would you buy? Exact condition and options

As you can see, we can all be very opinionate here. Best advice is for you to test drive both boats and see which ride you like best. (And try not to test drive it on a calm day, so you can see how it handles in the rough.) Good luck!
