Brian,

Normally a bobble like that in the torque is due to the carburetor tuning. If you could e-mail me the complete dyno sheets I may able to point you in the right direction.

Baja, My motors picked up 2hp & 2lbs of tq. with the hmv supersucker. If for no other reason they make a good heat spacer. I did my tunning on a dyno. I try to get the most timming and hp with the lowest egt. I run 38 total timing on 93 octane. My egt runs in mid 1300 range. I agree with AUDICY, you can get more out of the boat by working with whats under the water line. I run two 540na chevys, 718hp@6300-668tq@5300 in a newer boat these motors would do a good job, but i have an old resin bucket that is very resistant to any modifications. Brian
