Big thanks to Kennyo!!!

Last summer my alternator took a dump. I finished the season running on the batteries.
Well, about a month ago I took my alternator to a local rebuilder who is highly recommended. I'm still waiting to get it back. As of two weeks ago they still haven't touched it.
I decided to start shopping around to see what a new or rebuilt alternator would cost. Searched OSO and ran across a thread about converting a multiwire alternator to single wire operation. At the bottom of the thread Kennyo posted a link for DB Electrical in Tennessee. Am I glad he did. They have a 100 amp, one wire, remanufactured GM marine alternator for 79.95. With shipping it comes to 94.00 and change. That price is about what the local shop quoted me to rebuild my 51 amp Motorola. The shop offered me a 120 amp for 145.00.
I'm going down tonight to collect my old alternator, tomorrow I'm calling DB Electrical and ordering one of theirs.
They also offered technical assistance in converting my four wire system to one wire. All they need is the P/N of my old one to be sure they get the connections correct.
Thanks Kennyo, you saved my life!!!
There's nothing like the power of OSO!!!
