Arizona Speed & Marine Ingenious?????????
Anybody using this? How do they like it?
I'm having a hard time justifying the coin myself but hope to get the local Dyno shop to spring for it- I'd gladly pay him a bit more to tweak an EFI setup |
Re: Arizona Speed & Marine Ingenious?????????
So, what is the question, am I missing something?

Who's using it and what do they have for feedback |
Re: Arizona Speed & Marine Ingenious?????????
Does it work with any MEFI computer or just ones that they have initially programmed? I thought it was for specific computers (MEFI-4b) that were setup by them and if it is to be used for multiple units, they had to be initally setup also.

From what I understand I'd have to buy a mefi 4 and go from there- but from then on I can tune it all I want

Well pardon my ignorance, I thought INGENIOUS was a statement, not a product.

FYI if anyone is still wanting info on this. There is an article in the June issue of Family & Performance Boating.

I have it on 2 recently purchased motors. But they have az speed/marine programmable computers. They came with a key with the original program on it.

Before you guys get into it. Talk to Scarab98 (Tom). He got it this year and had a horrible experience with it. Cost him his entire motor. Basiscally in a nut shell the program would whack out once in a while for no apparent reason and change all the settings. The last time it did it it went way too rich which in turn diluted the oil to the point that it spun the main bearings. Bad enough to where it couldn't be lined bored so he's waiting on a new block and crank. By the time he figured out what was going on it was too late, the damage was done. The only thing that could have let him know what was going on was his O2 sensor but that wasn't working. I'll let him know about this thread and he can elaborate
The sad part is he can't even get Jim to return his phone calls to talk about it and it has been over a week. |
