Rocker covers. As earlier stated they did not have this code in Europe, had to have it "translated" into the European codes.
I have just tried the Hyundai code and the one you sent me but it looks a little "pail".
The painter did not have the time to wait so he used this color and changed it a little, got a pretty good match
Thanks for your help.

I realize this is an old thread. but after taking my Merc blue valve covers in to have them powder coated, only to get them back nearly navy blue, I thought I would do some home work. I had my valve covers powder coated in the very same way that you used Dupli-Color. He gave them a base coat with what he calls chrome (not as much chrome as it is a bright aluminum color), then went over them with a candy blue and clear coat. They came out way too dark. They looked really good (if I wanted them to match my navy/citron Cobalt), but totally the wrong color. Anyway, I tried this Dupli-Color application over my freshly powder coated valve covers. However, I was a little concerned that the blue anodized over the white wouldn't give me the metallic finish I was looking for. So I also got a can of the DE 1615 Aluminum from Dupli-Color and used it for my base. Much, much better. It might be just a touch brighter than Merc Racing but they turned out really well.

I went in to the paint store just for the heck of it. Told them the dupont code B8110A & they mixed it right up in Imron. This is what its says on the can:
General Motors code 20 1981
Bright Blue-Effect
Sure looks like the right stuff to me. I've got to dig out an old valve cover & double check.

I found DuPont Jollipop Blue Metallic powder coat to be a close match to Mecury racing blue. However, without a white or light silver base coat the color can be inconsistent and get to dark. I don't have an account set up to post a picture but this youtube link shows a color sample:

A close look shows that the intake manifold got to dark. It was the first piece that was done and didn't have a base coat. I'll have it stripped and redone someday.
