correct... sint maarten ( dutch side) st martin ( french side) 18 deg N x 63 W and no... is the complete wild west. go as fast as you want , as loud as you want anywhere you want as long as you have your passport and boat papers with you. is really a relaxing sort of thing w/out the coastguard stopping you every 25 mins... but the fact is that people are very responsible and professional for the most part. some of that is the fact that most of the high performance boats here don't run particulary well or often because the nearest competent mechanics are in miami...

if i couldn't do all my own work, i couldn't possibly have a boat like this here.
