Default dual ram hydraulic steering

I am looking to put a hydraulic dual ram on my 28 donzi zx. It has a 502 with a whipple charger and only power steering with a latham single rod on the outside. It pulls to the left out of the hole and will go left if you let go of the steering wheel. i really don't want to spend the 6k to put one on if I don't have to. Is there any place where I may be able to pick up a used one?

Try Ebay, Craigs List, the classifieds here etc.
6k seems steep. New you should figure about 1k per ram, plus the install kit and helm (another 1500 or so). Billet tilt helm is obviously more, my friend found on Ebay (an Imco tilt billet helm) for about 500.00. I assume if your looking used you plan on doing the install yourself? You can always run single ram, I don't think you would have any issues with single ram.

he has a single ram now, another ram to match should be 1200 to 1500 from latham I would think ,call 850 875 0381 ask for scott at speed and custom marine. a helm should be about 1100 for inside.

Didn't catch that, honestly it shouldn't pull even with a single ram. I would try a hydraulic helm with the single ram first and I would bet your pulling trouble will go away.

I've got a single ram full hydraulic system with no pull. There should be nothing in the external ram that "pulls" the boat to one side or the other. It is probably something in the cable system. Replace the cable system with a Zeiger internal hydraulic kit.

GEt rid of the cable. It is common for a worn steering valve to drift. The steering valve controls the fluid flow to the cylinder. A worn cable and this will cause your issue.

I bought my helm unit through a Hydraulic supply co. for $228. It's the exact non tilt helm you'll pay $500 for. The # on my receipt are "211-1003 steering control"(201-1021-005). I did my whole dual ram sys. for under $1800. Of course the guy who built my Cylinders is out of business now. Point is you can save $$$ doing and researching yourself.

My dual ram add on system with cable helm still pulled quite a bit. You will need a hyd helm to get rid of the pull.

I trolled some old OSO classifieds last year and found two Marine Machine rams, wing plate and mounting hinges/bolts (no hyd lines) for $700. I'll add the hyd helm/lines and be about $1200 total into it, for a full hyd MM sytem!

Patience is a good thing.

Be careful, some dirtbag was also trying to scam me on ebay for a mayfair system - until I traced his IP address to Katzensten/Russia.
