Default Fuel Coolers ??? Is this a Bad idea or not?

Maybe a silly question, possibly even stupid...........

But I have the Eickert dual cooler bell housings, which I do not need the coolers for my application.

Is there any reason it would be foolish to run the fuel through there and use it to cool the fuel ? If it's ok it seems it might work real well.

Thanks for your thoughts
Jon

Another good use is to run -4 lines from a spare bell housing cooler to valve spring oilers.

Is there any reason NOT to run it through the bell housing coolers though?

Thanks to every one for your input.

I expect you are be plowing new ground. If you decide to test the fuel cooler concept, maybe you rig it with a switch to by-pass the cooler so you can do a back-to-back comparison.
