Carb issue?
Guys,
I was fogging my HP500s the other day for winterization. I noticed, at idle, fuel dripping from the primary venturies. Is this a sign that the carbs need rebuilt, a gasket replaced? The boat does smell rich at idle wehn out running it...

It might not be the PV. It could be a needle seat adjustment. Also, it could be nothing.
The angle of the boat is probably different on the trailer, than in the water. The forward angle on the trailer will fill up the primary fuel bowls higher and cause them to drip into the carb at idle. Check it with the boat in the water in the Spring.

It might not be the PV. It could be a needle seat adjustment. Also, it could be nothing.
