not a bad looking mirage sutphil i may take a look see at that one thanks. My big issue is power to weigh ratio my Nova weighed close to 7000 lbs and went mid 70s so whatever hull I use needs to be lighter than that.My primary waterway is a small river in eastern Ohio so its not like Im going to pound the crap out of the hull.Just tryin to crack 80 mph this time around w/out brakin the bank !! Just from past ex[erience with boats and cars the easiest way to haul ass is stuff the biggest frikin motor(s) in the smallest vehicle you can !!!!

Weight is important, but so is hull design. If you stuff your 502's in a lighter boat with a bad hull design, it might do 80, but it may be flat out dangerous. Design has a lot to do with speed to. Heres some hulls from the 80s that were smaller with twins i can think of
Hustler 26
Formula 272
Four winns Liberator 241 and 261
Magnum 27
Excalibur 27
Wellcraft nova
checkmate 281
Lots more but I cant think straight right now

Hey Thunder ,thanks for the list of possibilties !! Another Nova had crossed my mind I found this old school for cheap (and i LOVE sleepers) although I REALLY wish it wasnt bottom painted ,but I may be able to remove it just with sheer speed !! I have heard that these hulls where pretty tough and the boat boat to beat back in the day , whatcha think ?
