if you are running one of the msd dist the pickup magnuts are cracking and breaking, will cause intermittant issues before totally failing sometimes..

hmm i pulled the pick up and checked it with an ohms meter on the bench and it show perfect so i even heated it up and messed with it but couldnt get it to screw up. already swapped the coil and that didnt make a difference. boat maybe has 20 hours on it since everything was replaced. something has def changed though because the first weekend out this summer it ran perfect for a couple hours until the last half hour, than this crap started.
