$2200 a year for a 42 excalibur eagle. it would be almost $1000 less if i stayed in the delaware river and chesapeake bay though. the closer to the shore, the more it costs.

I'm paying 475 a year for the Nova. Twin SBC's at 850 HP total through Progressive. I get a discount at work too. I'm in Michigan.

Jason,

Didn't see anyone mention Nationwide... I have tripple engines and pay about $1800 per year including the Bahamas... They seem to do much better if house, auto and all is with them... I was previously with State Farm, for many years, however when they took a picture of the boat they dropped me, never a claim, and stated that the vessel did not meet their underwriting requirements... Unfortunately I did consult with the agent prior to the purchase of that 39 stinger... Just watch them and the verbiage relative to not turning in any claims is the truth... Good luck...

$980 a year for 2001 with two HO's.

Well thanks to my buddy Mark,
I have new insurance on my boat I think!!!
Allstate just quoted me 290 a year for
boat 35000.00 and deductible of 500 bucks
Liability of 100,000
No personal effects
Trailer 4000.00 with a 100 dollar deductible

Twin 330's Mercruisers valued at 5000.00 each
Bravo drives and Stainless props covered with 250 deductible each (so if I smack em both up, there is 500 bucks)

She is calling the underwriter to ask a question and then calling me back
After that I think im going to put that on my credit card and Im solid until next year
WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Mark, I owe you one my brother, Ill bring the beer and Ill race you to Dave and busters!!!!!!!

Thanks man
Guys, as always, Thanks sooooooooo much for the helpful responses and information
Hope everyone has a great boating season and a safe one

Jason

Jayl13,

This was a good thread. I'm giving Allstate and Nationwide a call tomorrow to check prices. Is it me or does it seem these companies rates are all over the place?

You may want to re-think the liability number. It might not be too much to bump it to 300,000.00 or even 500,000.00. To go any more you would need an umbrella policy.
You can never be too covered.

Dan
