Lol that's a good speed for that boat but it's still a sled. No offense intended . Probably be fine

25 tops sensible speed. And Two shafts with quite a bit of distance between them I don't think I'll make anything at all difficult docking. At slow speed you don't even use the rudders on this boat. You just drive it like a bulldozer.

Why not try the easy way?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/CHEVY-350-87-95-MARINE-REMANUFACTURED-ENGINE-Reverse-Rotation-/142055257379?hash=item2113273523:g:N6cAAOSwqfNXiOv v&vxp=mtr

Good luck.

Also: Why no mention of changing/cleaning remote oil coolers and or oil filters and lines.

So his props are Ok? And are those props easy to find. I'm thinking if he goes standard rotation, he will be able to use his original distributor. He mentioned a gear instated of chain for timing. So crankshaft spins opposite and cam spins standard . Just the cam lobes are oriented so they open valves at proper time. But he would need starter
Maybe alternator. Does he have the seawater pumps like I have on the bravo. If so they can run either direction, just switch hoses Think recirculating pump is bidirectional. Are the belts set up the same or are the routed so accessories run standard. ??? Also if speaking to the person at jasper im sure they can get him the right engine
