Many are running the 10778 high volume pump or the 10778c pump with the anti-cavitation grooves. This pump does have the billet gears and the shaft that extends thru the cover for extra support. FWIW, Bob Madera (AKA RMBuilder) of Marine Kinetics recommended the 10777 pump to me, which is a standard volume pump that I think has the same durability improvements of the 10778 and 10778c pumps. You will get some recommendations against running extremely high pressures and volumes, and apparently Bob is in that camp as well. Perhaps Bob would like to chime in and offer his thoughts on it before I put words in his mouth.
