Good point, I spent a good amount of $$ this winter getting all my shiny stuff professionally polished but I knew in a few months it would not looks as good since Aluminum oxidizes pretty quickly especially in our environment. So I decided to give a local place a try,they have this stuff called Dura Fortress , its gas, oil, chemical resistant (guy said even battery acid does not affect it) and once coated it will never lose its shine. I took a piece home to play with for a week and was impressed with how easily oil and such would just wipe away.
I also had one muffler done to see if its going to be easier to clean.. they take me the longest to clean after the water spots dry on them.

After getting all the parts back its almost impossible to tell anything has been done to them but they will be shiny for ever! (at least they better be!)

Wondering what the difference is between the DuraCast and DuraFortress - they show what appears to be an aluminum intake under the DuraCast pictures, but talk about as an application suited for cast iron. I would think heads and intakes would be treated with the DuraCast unless they were polished.

Sounds expensive no matter which treatment I go with. My guess would be that I could probably buy another RPM Air Gap for the price of coating the heads and intake. Am I in the ball park?

You could always call and find out pricing, as an example a 10-71 blower was $80 ..
and as most things in life you get what you pay for... if the stuff holds up as advertised its worth every penny imop.

Every year..... Pull them off... check them out. Change the oil. Take a look at your intercoolers while you are at it. Crack a beer. Or pop in a porno in someones case. Not mine.lol. hit them with some mothers and put them back on. If your blowers are getting dirty or corroded you are not giving them enough attention

Its not Ferrari or Lambo paint, but hopefully the wind doesnt blow it off. :whistle:

If you are going for a solid or basic color. Go Imron if you can get it. ( Kenworth paint ) If you are doing an elaborate color or you need to buff it ( exterior) go with a base color then clear set up. You are best off with a catalized color coat. ( Fountain, Outerlimits paint etc. ) Juzz cause I know and have 30 years in the paint buiness. :D
