I guess you missed out. She was good !
We use the same measurements here in Central Pa. with the addition of distance measured by the amount of beer it takes to travel . Oh it's about four or five beers to the boat trailer .

Interesting. I missed that during our street racing days - and thus hanging out in some shops - while we where there. Pottstown, Doylestown, Malvern, Philly of course, etc, etc.

However, we judge the amount of time of a job by beers. Not jobs at work, but 'jobs' when helping each other out side of work.

How long will it take us to install the motor ? 5 beers.
How long to replace the camshaft ? Two thirty packs.

Hmmm. Maybe we did get it from your area but we misunderstood it.

In Boston, we judged distance by how many Dunkin Donuts you'd pass.

If you are close to my age and in the areas of PA I mentioned, do you remember the split level house with the lit sign "Cool beer, Cool Chicks ?"

I thought it was a joke first couple of times I went down to that area. I finally stopped in. Wasn't bad ! Especially after a day of racing and being on a trip with just guys. LOL.

Edit in: I think it was somewhere between Sinking Springs and Pottstown. Ptown is normally where we Hotel'd.

I passed through those towns occasionally and can't say I remember that sign . I am from central Pa. . Same age ? I'm 58 and building my first blower motor . Still thinking on the wisdom of that . Wife says if I put that blower in the boat she's not getting in it with me........I'm gonna miss her . To the OP sorry for the hijack .

Those of us at a given age use our memories af the "c hair" but at the same time are truly thankful for the shaved unit.... after all, nobody likes hair in their food!

Nobody has mentioned the red-c-hair as of yet.
A mere fraction of a standard c-hair.
