Default bravo 1 oil change procedure??

i have heard way to many different opinions on the right and wrong ways of changing the gear oil in a bravo. i have a LWP bravo 1hp with the remote resevior bottle on the engine. what is the correct MERC procedure for changing this fluid ( not the way you and Bubba do it so you dont have to buy a $5 pump ) i do have my lower plug behind my prop.

thanx Rob

MXZ800, There is more to it yet. Empty the remote reserve bottle because over a period of time a green sediment(I'm not kidding) from the gear lube will settle in the bottom and could plug the opening from the bottle to the hose. wash out the bottle with mineral spirits.I had this happen to me...............gofast

I also had the green muck in the bottom of my reservoir. I stopped using the mercruiser green hypo oil & switched to Mobil One and have had no problems & also no metal filings on the magnets.
