i just want to say that this was a fairly low budget build.when i got the engine it had a spun main bearing and a rod bearing, the previous builder did not have enough bearing clearance and it was a short lived build.i used a scat rotating assembly that even came with the rings&bearings.the heads were in bad shape because the previous builder had the total timing around 30 deg,in his mind this would make the engine last.bob madera specked&supplied the cam and morel 4603 lifters..the 2.3 whipple was bought right here from the swap shop for 3500 bucks[very fair price imo] it came with manifold, innercooler, carb and flame arrestor.i did a similar build about 5 years ago but it was efi instead of carbed.it had out of the box edelbrock marine heads.it did not go on the dyno but it is still running strong to this day with nothing but oil changes and one set of plugs, and a few outdrives.

I got a 1050 dominator I will donate to the cause if this engine is still on the dyno just for a comparison. Free of charge. I always appreciate MILD THUNDER and MIKE TKACH sharing the info and results on these builds. Let me know.
