Funny he's able to run the MPH he does without a dominator.

Maybe you can use the carbs you have and don't need to buy new.

how can this be possible with so many differant equations n combos out there .. im interested cause my motors deffinately are a handfull around the docks .. i was just going to lock out my timing and be done with it .. im at 750 but certainly dont want to burn something down just slapping on a base line ajusted carb .. just asking cause you seem very impressed with theese carbs .. i have biggs performance carbs on there now that perform quite well .. that were far north of theese priced carbs ..

Rob,
Just locking out your timing isn't the solution to your problem. I could set you up with 2 CD 1 programmable ignition, ignition boxes, map a 3 D ignition curve, install a MAP sensor and you would have data logging.

Did I mention Holley EFI ?

It gives you a perfect tune throughout your RPM range, turn key start and idle (docking stall problems gone....save your pride) , computer controlled ignition timing (no need for multi spark that does not work above 3000 RPM's anyway....save $$$$). How about protecting that investment against cylinder wash down, engine knock, temperature, water pressure, oil pressure, fuel pressure, ect ect. It will even do its best to protect the engine from its owner. Upgradeable to any future mods with a self tune ability up to 600% that will amaze you if you have not seen it in action. Can you tell I just got back from Holley EFI training.

2 years ago if asked about EFI I would of said never, I had been married to carbs for 40+ years. Early last year we installed our first Holley EFI systems. We are currently working on 8 Holley EFI builds and 0 carbureted (2 are carb to EFI). We do not work on very much stock stuff where the engine value is low so its tuff to justify the cost to switch to EFI but if you have to buy fuel and/or ignition systems anyway its worth a close look.

I went with Pro Systems 4150s that flowed around 1000 cfm and cost around 1k iirc. The sales pitch was that they had the fuel flow capabilities of a dom in a 4150. They needed no adjustments other than jetting and ran great to my layman's ear. You can go to their website to check out their features if interested. I have the dyno sheets if that would provide you with any useful info regarding their quality. As far as not dynoing, we picked up 20+ hp on my 540s so between that and the piece of mind knowing everything was working I consider it a necessary build expense. I know nothing about carbs, I'm just happy mine seemed to work well.

Full Force,
540 CID, AFR 325s, I didn't see any cam specs from my reading. 700 hp is easy to reach. you can do that using a 4150 1000 cfm carb. If you want more, rpm and power, your cfm is going to increase. You can only move so much air, through the intake port.
I have 2 555 CID AFR 335 Victor Jr 4500 flange, 2 1050 Holley's modified by BG from way back then. They are going on the dyno this week as soon as I get the CDI boxes wired and programmed. We spent the extra $ for the cnc porting, Madara, did my cams, so that's all I can tell you at this point.

yes, I get all that, but the cost of 1000-1200 each for good carbs, or how much is EFI? and then the other changes needed.... I am not going to hurt engines because it's carbed, carfbs been used and still are used, I am not against EFI just the cost at the moment.... if you could get me EFI ready to go every possible part needed for 1500 per engine, I would buy, but we both know thats not even close...

Bob M knows cam specs, I did not get them yet so I don't know, he told me with 1050 Doms I would see 700-710 hp on a dyno, he did engines nearly identical to mine and that was the number..
