FF you have a heavy boat. is it a 9ft beam? go 4500, get a low profile large diameter arrestor, I'm thinking 86 square no pv. time 32+- what's the ignition, manifold, cam, compression, just a base line est. to start. drives?gear?wheel? and 700 @ what RPM

7'6 beam I think Mistress is, or 8, TRS boat... yes heavy....
540CI
AFR325 cnc chambers
9.6:1
cam TBD (Bob M)
Intake (depends on carb) right now I have single plane for 4150

do this and be done with it. I don't like scoops either but sometime you do what you have to do.

Wow you and a few others sound extremely carb savy. Can you please explain why you would use a carb that is entirely too big for the motor in a heavy boat?
