On my old 30' Spectre, I took the leaking ram off and went to a local hydraulic shop in Springfield, MO. He rebuilt it right in front of me with new O-rings and seals off the shelf for a whopping $7. The seals and o-rings are common parts, it never leaked again and worked better than ever.

Adding to an old thread. Had to have both my MM rams rebuilt this year. Seals for both were about $50.
Here are the quantities and part #'s for the seals needed for one ram
[U-seal] (1) U12-0.75-25B ,
[U-seal] (2) U12-1.25-SQB,
[Oring] (2) 568-130,
[Wiper] (1) D-0750

I have the same style/length MM rams on the Skater, and 1 is leaking, where did you find these seals, and who did the work?

I had a local hyd shop do one of them. It was about $200.
The seals are standard part numbers and can be ordered online from any hyd parts store
Second one started leaking a couple months later when boat was already on the lift at LOTO. I got the seals from the same place that did my 1st ram.
John(friend of mine) at The Bravo Shop rebuilt the second one while I was there. It is actually very simple to do. Hardest part is getting the rod end off. Needs some heat because they are locktighted on.

Unfortunately one of the end cap O rings cracked and started leaking shortly after. I fixed that myself.
I wrapped about 4 layers of duct tape around the end cap and tube to protect the SS and used 2 pipe wrenches to unscrew the cap.
If I had any issues again, I'd do it myself. Its not hard at all.

I have a 35’ Cigarette Cafe Racer with Marine Machine steering. The port ram has a “pit” in the rod and is leaking. Does anyone have a ram for sale from Marine Machine. The whole ram or the rod would be greatly appreciated. I will contact [email protected] as noted in a previous post. Thanks

If the pit is in the rod can't you just have someone tig weld the pit out and machine it? If not, a good hydraulic shop should be able to replace the stainless rod.
