I ran it on the hose last night and took some video. Trying like hell to get it uploaded to my photobucket account to post on here, but not having any luck with the one taken from the back of the boat where you hear the "chirp". In retrospect, it was much less noticeable than I remember (even my wife noticed it out on the lake). I guess comparing it to the other videos on here it is pretty "normal".

I did take a video from inside the boat that I will attempt to post. Can't hear the chirp, but you sure can hear one of my lifters clacking. The Morels have always been noisy until the oil heats up, but I think I am going to go after that noisy one and see if I can adjust it out this weekend.

Again, sure hard to tell from the video, but that sounds a lot like an exhaust leak to me. My lifter was only noisy when I had oil temp. It was nice and quiet cold.

As far as the Morel lifters. I went from a 20/25-50 to a 10-40 and no more noise when cold.

I am running 15W-40 conventional oil in it right now. Oil was just changed before the last trip out.

RT930Turbo, I changed the header gaskets a little while ago - installed Remflex gaskets. Old gaskets did not have any burn marks like they had been leaking.

yes, that noise in video sounds like a lifter, I had Johnson increase flow through mine so I can run 20-50 with no issues... mine are quiet, the chirp would be heard out exhaust....

Oops - typo on my part - should be 80*, unless I have to pee while I'm in the water.
