If you go back and reread, you will see it was sutphen 30 who told the OP, how he would be better off reading the hot rod magazine article, rather than listen to horsepower1. He simply rebuttled that accusation.
So while horsepower1 was trying to advise the OP on his build, sutphen 30 chimed in with this, basically saying "dont listen to this dummy"

Obviously you arent up to date on the backround hatred from a few members towards him. If you go back and reread, you will see it was sutphen 30 who told the OP, how he would be better off reading the hot rod magazine article, rather than listen to horsepower1. He simply rebuttled that accusation.

just show you coolaide drinkers he was 30 degrees shorter on cam specs.650-670hp yes,but 700+hp,no way.
but you keep googling the knowledge you and he keep regurgitating.
just a search on here will give you all the combos to make some what advertised hp.

and I'm glad I don't have to rely on self proclaimed expert on heads and air flow.I'm gonna sit back and say BS on the Hp upping that will soon come.
oh and for the record, the 454's that powered my boat to 104mph had 2 tq peaks 4300 and 5100rpm's.and it had a 930cfm carbs.oh,that was 15yrs ago.motors reside in hot rods now.

and again I'll say,the motor he posted w/ 240 cam doesn't make 700+hp.

I like to know who is who because I read and see how people treat others and factor that in when time to buy....part of the process and score card for me.
So when I see business owners act like little kids (regardless if they were targeted or not) it makes me not do business with them. People need to learn to take the high road. By the way, not saying you did this, I enjoyed reading your thoughts until the derailment started.
So who is Zone 5?

Sorry, I can't drop names like some others, but I spent 9 years as the crew chief and head engine builder for a Super Late Model Dirt track car. After this I was offered my one and only career job in racing with Skip Barber (which I turned down because of where I would have had to move) Up until the last couple years I have had 5 different offshore boats (and 3 ski boats) and 2 Vette's both small and big block. multiples of them had either complete rebuilds or upgrades all done by me (except the last one that had things done that I didn't have the time or location to do). Done multiple rigging on these boats, plus on a few small outboard go fasts (like hydrostreams). Going back to ancient ancient history, I rigged one of the first Johnson V-8 outboards on a pleasure boat that is still owned by the original owner and still running 80+ in a 21' bowrider. I lost count of the friends boats that I have worked on from teaching them how to change oil to pulling and rebuilding and reinstalling their motors. Not to mention the boats that I have had a hand in specing and finding parts for. And to some that think that 600 HP is nothing, sorry, but I have never touched a motor with much more than 700 HP in it. I don't have the money for it, and neither do my friends. Well wait a minute, I did change spark plugs in a friends 800 HP blower motor once if that counts and it did have dry pipes)
So, IOW, this is 100% a hobby for me. I have never in over 30 years been paid a dime for any of it.(unless beer counts) Its not a career nor did I expect it to be. Ooops, I lied, I did get my admission to the races paid, and a small % of the purse, which anyone that knows local dirt track knows is enough for a few beers.

Sutphen 30, are you still upset about the morel lifters straub sold you, that you claimed made the blower motors you built , seize valves , and fail, and you accused him of selling you bad lifters ? Lol.. and all you guys made fun of full force tim for running a lifter bore clearance his "engine developer " said was ok to run... Funny, SB claimed those lifters you had spread at the forks , and were a street lifter in another thread.
Now, being that i run morel lifters , as well as several of friends engines, i know that morels street lifter, is NOT a fork style lifter. If you guys arent aware of that, you might try GOOGLE. I know SB has been quick to slam insults, and i would have thought he woukd know morel does not, nor has ever made a "street" fork style lifter, and an engine builder of your caliber, would know this too.
I just read an hours worth of the thread here where once again, you, zone 5, SB, were taking up valuable space, with accusations, insults, and zero facts. Again, with the same party, and the whole time you guys repeatedly over and over, tried slamming straub in every way possible, he responded with data, and facts.
You guys have plastered your hatred all over boatfreaks, and oso about this guy, and sucked so many guys into it as well. I loved the insults from Brian41 , about how he googled straubs address, and it was trees. And how he stocks nothing , and drop ships parts, doesnt actually build engines, or have a legit facility. Amazing, because i think they may have mistaken straub, for bob M. I did google straubs address, and im seeing a decent sized commercial warehouse. Cant say that much for the other guy, who claims to do engine development, balancing, dyno tuning, block machining, cylinder head work, from a 1200 sq ft single family home with a lawnmower shed out back. This whole site has turned into a bunch of boatless, keyboard bullies, with more political bs than Hilarys camp.
For those interested in wasting more of their time, reading more BS from this group of keyboard bullies, here ya go. I must warn you, it will be like groundhog day. Same guys, same stories, same insults, same old garbage.

3 screen prints took you an hour? must be that .10 per search that is slowing you down.
Now try figuring out searching an address. I can give you a hot chit New York City address in a skyscraper on Wall Street, and sound like a big deal. Course inside that address I have a 10x10 office.. IOW, because you found one of the property's that Bob owes, and because you found an industrial building for straub means nothing.
As you, by your own admission don't build your own engines, I don't understand how you are qualified to discuss lifters
As far as the posts by straub, if you want to believe his "facts" go right ahead. As you have zero engine builds to your credit, I have no idea how you would know if they were right or wrong. But hey, I know, you Google searched it so it must be right.
Multiple people that are way smarter than you (and me) have come to the same conclusion on multiple nightmares. and none of them did it because me or anyone else made them.

So you are just like most of us, your arguements are no different then any of ours...you are not engine builder but do this for a hobby...
While, you are safe then, because I only build motors for my own things, and I have never sold a part in my life. Unlike some others, I don't read/post on these forums to make money. I am into fast toys, land and water.
