You can speak for yourself, but please, dont speak for "this crowd".

I for one would like to see his input , and let the rest of us decide what to do with the information he provides.

I've been involved in all sorts of racing from boat drags, car drags, oval track, road racing and land sped racing. I was the lead fabricator on two Bonneville cars both of which hold multiple 300+ mph records. For a while I was doing more fabrication than I was engine work but my passion lies in the power. Now I work with Chris Straub at Straub Technologies doing induction development and special project engine building. I served my country during peace time as a crewchief on Blackhawk helicopters from 1981-1983 and graduated distinguished grad from the US Army Tech school out of about 300 students. I attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical Univ. working toward my A&P license but never completed that. My father was a very successful mechanical engineer, racer, car guy and pilot. I was born 9/8/1958.
Apparently he brings nothing to this forum...

When we jump to 7000 rpm...and i should have caught this...the cross section still remains usable but the valve area demand increases significantly. I was mistaken when I said the valve area of the 305 was still adequate. My apologies to all.
Right or wrong you entered this debate as one smug sum beech , gave incorrect information and declare victory?
Were you both correct or neither, the lack of gloating suggests we were being baffled by book knowledge, I don't build engines but I'm nobody's fool either.

I must have missed him being a "smug sum beech" ...

Just curious Buck, what is making you jump on the ole bandwagon? Did foxwell do you wrong too?

Thanks for the bio. I assumed (I know, very dangerous) that you were in business somehow. I like to know who is who because I read and see how people treat others and factor that in when time to buy....part of the process and score card for me.

So when I see business owners act like little kids (regardless if they were targeted or not) it makes me not do business with them. People need to learn to take the high road. By the way, not saying you did this, I enjoyed reading your thoughts until the derailment started.

Side note, thanks for your service.

So who is Zome 5?

Not at all, He called out another member over next to nothing, declared victory and then amended his argument. Seems to me they were both right or both wrong. Nothing more nothing less.

Obviously you arent up to date on the backround hatred from a few members towards him. If you go back and reread, you will see it was sutphen 30 who told the OP, how he would be better off reading the hot rod magazine article, rather than listen to horsepower1. He simply rebuttled that accusation.

So while horsepower1 was trying to advise the OP on his build, sutphen 30 chimed in with this, basically saying "dont listen to this dummy"

I'm Very well up to date on the hatred , but I don't know any of the players personally, so occasionally stirring it up will let me know just who is who and whom to listen to.
I got no time for others agends.
by the way sorry for your loss Joe, lost a friend last weekend myself.
